HP is updating its business laptops with Penryn processors as its rivals Sony, Acer, IBM Lenovo, Toshiba and Fujitsu.
HP 17.1"Compaq 6820s, 15.4" Compaq 6720s and 14.1" Compaq 6520s notebook PCs are based on Intel Santa Rosa Refresh platform and are powered by fast clocking Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.50GHz (45nm) processors, up to 4GB of RAM Memory, DVD burner and ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 graphics card.
-Actually, each of these business laptops comes with variety of options from different processors to different HDDs to help the user to choose a budget laptop (affordable Penryn laptop or a typical budget laptop) from one of these laptop lines up or the most expensive configuration with Penryn processor.

Asus unveiled its touchscreen desktop Eee PC, the Top 1602, late last week, touting the all-in-one box's "powerful multimedia capabilities".
What, with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 :processor and the chip giant's GMA 950 integrated graphics on board? "I think you overestimate their chances."
It features 15.6in, 16:10-ratio display, Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11n Wi-Fi for networking; a 160GB, 5400rpm 3Gb/s SATA hard drive and SDHC card reader for storage; two USB 2.0 ports; and 5.1-channel output through the re-configurable audio jacks.
To make use of the display's touch-sensitivity, Asus is bundling SoftStylus for on-screen finger-writing. It's also including a touch-controlled version of Opera, and Eee Cinema, its version of Microsoft Media Center. Speaking of MS, the Top 1602 comes with Windows XP. There's no word yet on a Linux version.
However, Linux is includeded, by way of SplashBox's ExpressGate quick-start mini OS, which gives you access to the net after 12 seconds or so.
Available shortly, the Eee Top 1602 will cost £449.

It features an Intel Atom Z530 CPU, a 5.6-inch WXGA touchscreen, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB 4,200RPM hard drive, built-in GPS / Garmin Mobile PC, Ethernet, a webcam / fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth / WiFi and a 4-cell battery.
There's also a $1,299 version if that other variant just isn't up to your standards.
