Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus HD Coming This September, Covers and Video Included
Sony has just confirmed when it's going to release the HD versions of its hugely popular Ico and Shadow of the Colossus titles for the PlayStation 3 in territories like Europe or North America.
The Japanese company is continuing its high-definition remake trend, as after announcing during its E3 2011 conference the God of War: Origins Collection for the PS3, Sony has now released the brand new launch date for the upcoming Team Ico Collection.The release includes high-definition versions of both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, which were originally launched for the PlayStation 2 many years ago.The collection was confirmed for quite some time, but was recentlydelayedfrom its intended spring release date.Now, after Sony confirmed when the two games arrivein its native Japan, the company also presented the details for North America and Europe.Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are now scheduled to appear on September 27, in North America, where it will retail for $39.99, and on September 28, in Europe, for a price that has yet to be established."ICO and Shadow of the Colossus have never looked or sounded this good. Both games have been re-mastered to support full 1080p HD resolution for a stunning, razor-sharp presentation, as well as full stereoscopic 3D support to bring the games to life in a brand new dimension. You’ll also be able to enjoy the games in up to 7.1 surround sound this time around, and unlock Trophies as you master, or re-master, these video game classics."The collection has two distinct covers, one for North America (the first image) and the other for Europe (the second), while the latter also has the classic covers of the two games on the inside, so players can easily turn it around and have that same retro feel for their HD collection.Until the end of September, you can enjoy a video presentation of the HD Ico and Shadow of the Colossus collections below.
